Earlier this year, Earth Pledge, an organization that promotes sustainable fabrics and responsible fashion, staged its FutureFashion show. Designers from New York, Milan and Paris participated in the event presenting designs made of sustainable materials (organic wool, cotton, sasawashi - a bamboo based fabric, piña fiber - a pineapple plant extract, and more). The models' runway was made of kumbac wood, which was later recycled for use in making furniture.
