These aromas of loveliness have just arrived at LuckyScent! Nothing like a new fragrance to lift the mood, excite your psyche and set your spirit to dance.

Profumum: Ninfea
Soft, powdery rose manages to evoke this delicious sense of kittenish glamour, while still feeling like a comfort scent. Ultra-feminine, but not overpowering, this sweet, cuddly floral is not a diva, but an adorable ingénue.

Penhaligons Anthology Colection: Eau de Cologne & Orange Blossom
The zesty top notes are fizzed up by pink pepper and tinged with green by a lash of cardamom and violet leaf, to conjure both the citrus and leaves of the tree. Orange Blossom has enough twists and turns to keep you interested from top notes to drydown, and feeling ravishingly romantic throughout.

The authentic, classic Eau de Cologne in all its glory: an invigorating citrus cocktail of tart lemon, sweet orange and peppery bergamot, whose aromatic facets are brought out by rosemary. Sunshine in a bottle.

Costamor: Dulcess
Sparkling pear, sweet citrus and yummy coconut are whipped into a tropical froth with a profusion of dreamy flowers – almond blossom, and delicate muguet. This delectable concoction is anchored with a mouth-watering, sandalwood-laced vanilla and a silky smooth musk that adds a sophisticated dollop of seduction. Luscious!

Yosh: Eau de Parfum collection
Be the first to experience these modernized fragrances -- subtle elegance with a spritz of panache. Yosh Eau de Parfums are blended with organic alcohol. Rediscover her collection and see how her fragrances have been transformed: Stargazer | Sottile | White Flowers | U4EAHH! | Ginger Ciao | Omniscent.

Heeley: Oranges and Lemons Say The Bells of St. Clements
A traditional Eau de Cologne reworked to create a fresh, chic and contemporary, Eau de Parfum in the aesthetic that we've come to adore from James Heeley. Oranges, lemons, and bergamot are combined with notes of Earl Grey tea and vetiver to create a new English classic.

Diptyque: Vetyverio
Ambivalence, elegance and sensuality, both masculine and feminine: Vetiver reveals the magic and beauty of an extraordinary fragrance. A perfect, summery Vetiver-- if there ever was one.

Redken Creative Consultant Guido shares the goods on one trend for spring found off the runways at Fashion Week. Up or down, the new romantic looks have a more defined shape, with a grittier, slightly disheveled feel.

It’s fitting that leatherwear house Loewe showed sleek, leather-look ponytails on the runway. Here's how Guido created the look:

LEATHER-LOOK PONYTAIL

70's INSPIRED WAVES
These 70s-inspired waves were seen at this year's Versace show. To get the look:
  • Step 1: Start by shampooing and conditioning with All Soft
  • Step 2: Blow-dry hair smooth, then curl with a medium-size curling iron to create soft bend.
  • Step 3: Finger-comb, then apply a small amount of rewind 06 pliable styling paste to add soft separation.
The Bardot-esque updo seen at Lanvin was a playful reimagining of the classic topknot.

BARDOT-ESQUE UPDO

NEW CLASSIC
A revolutionary French twist with height and texture worthy of Marie Antoinette as seen at Louis Vuitton
  • Step 1: Apply a nickel-sized amount of thickening lotion 06 body builder to damp hair and blow-dry.
  • Step 2: Take 1-3 inch sections and curl hair using a curling iron.
  • Step 3: Once curls have cooled, backcomb the entire head.
  • Step 4: Gather hair in the back and twist to create a French twist and secure with bobby pins.
  • Step 5: Mist hair with forceful 23 super strength finishing spray for humidity resistence and all day control.

TOUSLED BRAID
Get the tousled braid seen at Alexander Wang, which goes perfectly with the designer’s modern take on American sportswear.
Step 1: Apply full frame 07 protective volumizing mousse, rough dry and swoop hair over one eye.
Step 2: Braid hair, letting the braid fall over your shoulder, tie loosely with elastic band, and pull out pieces to soften the look.

Lancome gets ready to play along with one of the top trends for Spring - the matte lip - and their Color Design Matte Lipstick creations are definitely to be envied and adored.

What's the one drawback many beauty lovers identify as the reason they turn their noses up at the matte lipstick? Dry texture.

Problem solved!  To say that Lancome reinvented this iconic texture isn’t mere exaggeration. The new formula is described as soft and creamy, glides effortlessly and comes in eight dreamy colors. The credit goes to the new formula; its mattifying agent isn’t a dull powder but a light-diffusing gel. I can hear makeup divas everywhere cheering on this one element alone, much less the fantastic shade options available.  Look at them ... they are drool worthy! High pigment levels ensure that it wears for hours, while soft waxes and emollients deliver modern slip.

Makeup artist Daniel Martin used the Bronze Show shade at the Chris Benz Fall 2010 presentation for the perfect update on the 90’s lipstick. Celebrity makeup artists are already in love with the formula, too. Read what makeup artist Fiona Stiles had to say to Teen Vogue about the Corset shade!

Available in eight shades - $22 USD
* Red Haute * Posh Pink * Lucky Kiss * Corset * Plum Show * Pink Preview * Bronze Show * Stylista

Color Design Matte is a Macy’s exclusive and will be on both the Macy’s website this week and on lancome-usa next week.  I cannot wait to try this one!

The NARS Spring 2010 Collection was photographed by NARS Cosmetics Founder and Creative Director François Nars. François created the makeup look and cast supermodel Amber Valletta, who is a long-time collaborator of his. Elegant and versatile, the look is confident, cosmopolitan and polished. And although all of the new shades for this collection are gorgeous, my favorite product is by far this eyeshadow duo!

Kuala Lumpur Eyeshadow Duo ($32) is a perfectly harmonized gold infused rose and boysenberry pairing influenced by contrasts - traditional yet modern, like is namesake.  The rose gold (left) part of this duo is absolutely stunning.  It's a shimmery metallic almost peachy looking color in the compact but applies with a hint of rosey-pink for an unexpected femininity that is gorgeous on every eye color.  The plummy boysenberry is the perfect companion setting off the lighter shade in a contrast that just works!  This is a shadow you really must see in person to appreciate.  I've worn it every day since purchasing last week and I'll be wearing it again tomorrow.  For a great multi-tasking use of this duo, apply the lighter color to the lid and the darkershade in the crease for definition.  Take a fine eyeliner brush and dampen with water, then use the boysenberry shade as liner as close to the upper lash line as possible. Complete the look with several coats of your favorite black mascara. Stunning!

Need a little more purple in your life?  Hot, hot, hot for spring is every shade of purple on the fingers and toes.  Walking a line between gothic rocker and regally refined, the deep, jewel-toned perfection of NARS Purple Rain ($16) is fast becoming a go-to accessory for gals wanting to get a headstart on springtime trending.

Many other lovely products grace NARS' spring collection.  View them online at NARS Cosmetics, at NARS beauty counters or Sephora.

Bond No. 9 High Line

Time is ripe for a new Bond No. 9 fragrance and what better season to unveil a fresh elixir, but with a bit of edge, bedecked with wildflowers than spring .... mmmmmm breathe in, breathe out.

New York is a city already jam-packed with just about every kind of community imaginable. So when a new part of town appears, you can be sure folks are in for something completely different. Like New York's latest and most dynamic neighborhood, the High Line — which serves as the subject of Bond No. 9’s Spring 2010 eau de parfum. An improbable aerial walkway lined with concrete planks and railroad tracks, landscaped with meadows, wetlands, and wildflowers, the High Line hovers 30 feet above street level as it meanders along its route from the Meatpacking District to the former 34th Street rail yards--- sometimes bridging its way through buildings along the way. Lately too it’s begun serving a daily parade of New Yorkers and visitors wanting both a respite from and a fresh take on our non-stop kaleidoscopic city.

Bond No. 9, purveyors of New York neighborhood fragrances, have long been enamored of the High Line and its perfume possibilities. A scent that conveys a whiff of urban wildflowers and a hint of industrial grit, with bits of Tenth Avenue energy and Chelsea gallery style added to the mix.

The result is an androgynous floral-marine bouquet, contrasting the hardy flowers and greens that grow along the High Line’s route with intriguing notes from far away. The scent starts off with a prairie grazing weed—purple love grass—mixed with citrusy bergamot and zesty Indian rhubarb. The perfume’s floral heart is red-leaf rose, Lady Jane tulips, and grape hyacinth. Its lingering base notes combine bur oak—from the sheltering tree that thrives here—with imported sea moss, to evoke the Hudson River’s proximity, along with musk and teakwood, to remind us that Bond No. 9 High Line is a metro-perfume.

The textured silkscreen surface design on the clear glass High Line bottle furthers the beauty-emerging-in-a-gritty-urban-industrial-environment narrative: In the foreground, hardy blades of tall grass and determined fuchsia tulip buds sprout from gunmetal grey rail tracks (affixed to the bottle as a metal plaque) displaying the name, High Line. As for the Bond No. 9 token logo, it appears raised in relief as a backdrop.

Bond No. 9 has joined forces with and became sponsors of Friends of the High Line, the nonprofit organization which spearheaded and oversaw the revitalization and reuse of this abandoned rail line in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

High Line will retail at $220 for 100 ml and $145 for 50 ml. As an extra incentive for recycling your empty perfume bottles Bond No. 9 has a special treat for you.  Just bring them your empty glass perfume bottles—theirs or anyone else’s—to Bond No. 9 boutiques and Bond No. 9 perfume counters at Saks Fifth Avenue nationwide, and they will take care of the rest. By way of an eco-friendly thank-you, they’ll give you a refillable pocket spray. Free with any purchase.

Appearing on-counter in March 2010, Bond No. 9 High Line will be sold at the perfume house's four New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, and online at Bond No. 9

Milani Cosmetics today announced they will debut nine new products for Spring 2010. From nails to eyes, lips to skin, the new collection solves everyday issues for a diversity of consumers: from supermoms to supermodels and everyone in-between.

I've been a HUGE fan of Milani since first learning about how highly pigmented their eyeshadows are from MakeUpAlley years ago. At the time, I was completely taken with their ability to mimic my favorite MAC eyehsadows and I've been buying from the brand ever since. In fact, Milani's Java Bean Eyeshadow single is probably the most regularly used product I own. I use it almost daily in the crease for contour on my upper eyelid. It's the perfect accentuator for green eyes with its plummy brown shimmer. I love it!

So what's new with them?

3D Holographic Nail Lacquer, with its special formula containing mica and pearl particles, creates a stunning 3D holographic effect, changing colors in different lights and at different angles. This unique effect is based on holographic image technology that can make a very thin, bright, embossed metallic flake look like a rainbow, allowing color to shift among the seven distinctive rainbow hues. 3D Holographic is available in six shades, all DBP, toluene & formaldehyde-free.

Neon specialty nail lacquer was developed to capture the explosion of color that has made an impact on the latest fashion trends. Eight shades provide a pop of color brilliance with high-voltage, neon-bright pigments. All formulas are DBP, toluene & formaldehyde-free.

Eye Gotta Have It!

Easyliner for Eyes Glitter Retractable Eye Liner is a true breakthrough in both its formula and technology. The first glitter in a retractable pencil, its soft texture ensures a perfect glide and creamy color for a combination of easy smoothness, rich color and cool silver metallic accents. Available in six hues for eye-popping definition.

Liquif’eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil has the feel of a liquid eye liner in a new gel structure. The metallic color is vibrant and lasts all day, with no transfer and no touchups. Available in five shades, it’s waterproof and paraben-free. These are fantastic! I couldn't pass these up when I saw them at my local CVS drugstore. I bought two and I'm loving the texture of the pencil (very soft on the eyes) and the long-wear of them. They compare easily to Urban Decay's long-wearing metallic eyeliner pencils, and are much cheaper!

Crystal Eyez sparkling eye shadow can be worn alone for a sheer finish or layered over shadow for intense sparkle. A smooth, gel-based shadow, Crystal Eyez contains metallic glimmers and multicolor pearls that create a spectacular 3D finish on the lids. Available in six shades, Crystal Eyez delivers transparent, buildable coverage that dries quickly and lasts long.

3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss is a new, soft & brilliant formula with super-shiny polymers and the next generation of pearls to create the illusion of 3D depth for even fuller, shinier, sexier-looking lips. With a soft brush applicator ideal for glide-on application, 3D Glitzy is available in eight shades for sheer to medium coverage.

HD Advanced Concealer is the perfect tool to whisk away blemishes, dark circles, spots and any other imperfections. Clinical testing proves it can soften the look of facial lines and wrinkles and reduce visible age spots by more than 50% after 28 days. HD Advanced Concealer perfectly preps the skin and leaves a natural finish. Rona-coated pigments disguise dark shadows; Invisaskin moisture base keeps the eye area hydrated and softens expression lines and wrinkles; Gran X gamma amino-butyric acid plumps out creases, lines and other imperfections; while Granactive RD 101 helps brighten and gently resurface the most delicate skin. Available in four shades, HD Advanced Concealer is the must-have product in every woman’s cosmetic case.

Check out Milani's other newly launched products, including a new idea in tanning/bronzer, on their all new, re-vamped Milani Cosmetics website, and look for them at your local drugstores.

Rachel McAdams and Scarlett Johansson

You know that matte lip look that won crowds over during the runway shows for Fall/Winter fashion week? Expect the trend to continue well into spring. Now, we're not talking about powdery, dry, chapped looking lips; this is a fresh, modern, approach to pretty lips with a modern edge, and oh so easy to achieve when you have the right product.

Lip Tech shades: Nude (creamy beige-y nude), Peony (rosy pink), Sangria (berry fuschia) and Maple (deep warm nude)

Enter Smashbox Lip Tech. Here's the scoop:
Lip Tech is a new weightless, satin-matte lip color that perfectly contours lips and comes in a mirrored compact with a unique silicone applicator. The formula contains Vitamin E and emollients to protect and provide a soft, cushiony feel. The silicone applicator is key to the application. Because it's not spongy, the product doesn't soak into the tip, allowing the ability to stack or layer lip color directly onto lips.

Spring runways were all about softly stained, satin-matte lips. In the short video above, Smashbox Lead Makeup Artist Lori Taylor shows us how to get this ultra-feminine, romantic look in just a few simple steps using Smashbox Lip Tech.
