Target Is Bringing In the Artists

Ahhhhhh ... the sweet sound of economic relief whispers softly in the distance!

Well, anyone who enjoys the splurge of fantastic cosmetics created by renowned makeup artists at less expensive prices should be jumping up and down over the news. Elle is reporting that Target has enlisted three makeup artists known for their high-end lines to create product ranges that are a little more politically correct (read: reasonably priced). This month, JK Jemma Kidd, NP Set from Napoleon Perdis, and Pixi by Petra will debut in stores on Target.com ($12 to $39) with everything from electric eye colors (JK) to a 20-shade lip palette (Pixi). "My original line is for the red carpet," Perdis says. "This one is for the after-party."

Anyone have any doubts that this is gonna be hugely popular for Target? I, for one, can't wait!

WWD informs us collaboration is a-go for fashion designer Thakoon Panichgul to design for Target's Go International collection. The collection is expected to launch in late September and run through January. It will be available at Target stores and via Target.com. More info as it is available. Yea!!!
