I had fun sharing my favorite things of 2008 with you. However, I want to know what YOUR favorites are, and so does the rest of our readership.

TOP CHEF CHICAGO: Season 4's Final Four

Bye, bye, Spike.

Forgive me a simple indulgence, my angels, as I just couldn't go the day without commenting on the currently running BravoTV's Top Chef. No fashion, no beauty, no fragrance, skincare, haircare dish ... just dish for the sake of dish ... pun fully intended. (get it, food-dish, ok, ok I know you knew).

Anywho ... for the love of all that's good and holy,
what in the world could possibly be keeping Lisa
on the show??? I just don't get it.

Lost Beauty: Evangeline Lilly

Canadian beauty Evangeline Lilly always manages to look fabulous, even in t-shirt and gym shorts. Here, she pulls of a lovely but simple updo with sunstreaked appeal, sun-kissed skin and that oh so popular glossy peach lip. Jewelry is simple yet tasteful, eyes popping with a dark-lined character, and the tailoring of her suit - superb. Well, that's my opinion, what's yours?

LIPSTICK JUNGLE FEVER CONTINUES

Still lovin' it! Although I hope they bring Lorraine Bracco back for some more juicy drama that only she can conjure. This little show still has me wanting for more, more, more. I'm so glad the network is bringing it back next season. Contrary to some public opinion, I really like this show much better than Sex & the City, Candace Bushnell's first foray into television, and particularly the fact that these ladies are much more substantial in content. I'd much rather share a cocktail or jet to Scotland (lol) with Wendy, Nico or Victory sans Carrie, Samantha and group. Know what I mean?

There are a couple of pieces that don't work for me though; for instance, I'm still not "feeling" the whole Victory Ford - Joe Bennett relationship, although I think he may be a fascinating character to develop on his own. And what's with the character Julian Sands plays; Julian Sands, really? Just having a hard time grasping him in that role.

Lipstick Jungle Fever

Anyone else feeling the Lipstick Jungle fever?

I am. With each new episode I sense the looming addiction kicking in. Now, let me 'fess up that although I enjoyed the occasional Sex in the City episode, another Candace Bushnell creation, while in its heyday, I was never really what I consider to be a die-hard fan. I didn't HAVE TO watch it each week. This may be a different experience for me, though. I'm liking these characters more, they seem a bit more, dare I say it, mature! Well, come on ladies (and gents), it's true. There's Wendy Healy, played by Brook Shields, who not only balances a prestigious career, but so far seems to adore her husband and children - a family woman? Don't remember that kind in SITC. Magazine big-wig Nico Reilly, played by Kim Raver, who has a bit of "Samantha" in her, but not nearly as irritating, overcoming complex challenges with each new episode. Last, but certainly not least, there's Victory Ford, played by gorgeous Lindsay Price, the "single" one of the crew, but also daringly ambitious as the hot one minute, not the next fashion designer. Through her we're treated to fanciful dating escapades (this week, she jetted to Paris for a surprise visit of Coco Chanel's hideaway apartment with her paramour - played by an oddly young-looking Andrew McCarthy, remember him from Pretty in Pink? - oops, I digress). Add to the complex characters, that this show is a beauty bloggers dream - swag bags, magazine shoots, beauty editting, fashion runways ... feeling a little tingle up my spine just talking about it!
